Sekanjebin with Lettuce
On Monday I posted about Sekanjebin the drink and today I am posting another way in which we Iranians like to make use of Sekanjebin. This post is probably going to bring back many fond memories for many of you once again.
Sekanjebin goes extremely well with lettuce as well. It is a fantastic summer snack or meal when it’s super hot out. Simply pour some Sekanjebin, mint syrup, in a bowl and arrange lettuce around it. I remember my grandma using romaine lettuce, but you can use any type of lettuce that you prefer.
The idea here is to dip the lettuce in the syrup and then eat it. Simple, yet so delicious!!

this is the best. it also reminds me of Sizdeh Bedar too.
the best snack for a summer afternoon.
i remember back in days when i was a kid we used to go to my grandma’s house and she would serve this in the hayat( back yard) and we used sit on the bench ( takhte Choobi) and eat Lettuce and Sekanjebin. Good old memories.
Thanks for bringing back those memories

Actually, when I read your Sekanjebin drink post I immediately thought of eating the lettuce and Sekanjebin on hot summer days when I was a little kid. Now I am REALLY going to make a trip to the Iranian store to buy a bottle of the liquid gold! 😉
