She didn't want me to "waste" my time making pollo every night. HA mom! Now what? I'm gonna make pollo with tadig everyday. Thanks My Persian Kitchen!

I have asked my mom several times to teach me how to make good pollo with tadig while I’m away at college. My experience with my own rice cooker is that it takes about 40 minutes for 2 cups of rice. I have not kept track of how long it takes for more cups to be honest.

Dawn, thank you so much for your kind words. I have been cooking Iranian food for many years, but have yet to try a Persian rice cooker. I know you have spoken about it, but I have a question. How long to you cook the polo? I read somewhere else that it takes longer in a rice cooker. Thanks for your links to Persian to them! Consider yourself bookmarked. Thanks in advance!

Sanam, Love your site! I have been cooking Iranian food for many years, but have yet to try a Persian rice cooker. Although I'd not used w/yougert & rice mixed as bottom layer, but this is perfect. Made it the next day (again followed recipe to a tee) and it was great. I used a Teflon pan, lots of rice rinsing and followed directions very closely. It'd be great if there was a way to print out the recipe on a single piece of paper, finally brought my PC into the kitchen to stop running to my office. Many, many thanks again!

All ready to make big persian dinner & couldn’t find my rice recipe.
