The footage that is coming out is heartbreaking.

That’s an incredible video. It reminds me of something I read about the violence at Azadi Square the other day. There was a policeman in the crowd who quickly responded when bystanders pleaded with him to help someone who had been injured, but others nearby didn’t understand what was happening and tried to attack him. The group who had first asked him for assistance backed him against a wall and stood in front of him, protecting him at great risk to themselves until they could get the message across that he was trying to help.
I think this video is a testament to the protesters’ state of mind. They don’t want violence, they just want to be heard.
